E-books of only
Erotic nature are eligible. E-books must have been published between January
1, 2004 – December 31, 2004 to qualify for
the 2005 ENDAs. Self-published, vanity press and re-publications within the last five years are eligible.
By entering an
e-book, author is validating that they own the copyright to the literary work, and the work does not belong to the proprietorship
of any other entity or person.
Authors may enter
as many titles as they wish, but an entry fee is required for each title. Author must specify which categories they are entering
their title, and categories are limited to 2 per each entry.
Category 2 (Most
Tempting Cover) must be entered by the artist or publisher. Entry into this category is for visual judging only, and does
not enter the title into the Genre categories ( 3 - 11 ) Entries
in this category must appear on published erotica e-books, and available for public viewing online.
By submitting an entry, author or authors agree to allow their e-books to be presented for ballot voting
during Rounds 1 and 2 by Literary Nymphs members of good standing. And if their e-book is selected as a Winner in any of the
Best Genre categories, agrees to allow the title to be reviewed by judge panel for Round 3 in order to contend for Years Best
award.
An entry fee of
$7.00 dollars will be utilized to cover cost of final Award certificates and trophy to winner of Years Best. Entry Fee must
be paid by January 20, 2005 to qualify. Staff members are eligible to enter, with exemption from fee on
following condition: staff members entering ENDA contest are barred from participating as judges, and must be an active and working member of Literary Nymphs. Entering staff members must signify entry intention by
January 15, 2004.
Valid entries will
proceed to Round 1.
The Process:
Round 1. Nominations Round. Opens January 23 and ends February 6.
A list of all valid entries will be posted during this time so that Literary Nymphs’ members in good standing may vote
via a ballot to be filled out and forwarded to Nominations Director. Votes are limited to one per member in good standing.
Any vote sent in from a member coming into the group after December 31,
2004 will be automatically disqualified
Round 2 (Finalists round) to open February 13 and end February 27. The five highest voted e-books from each category
as voted upon during Round 1.
During this round
the Finalists will be presented to the members of Literary Nymphs in good standing. These members will cast their votes on
the Finalist ballot.
The Finalist with
the highest number of votes in Round 2 will be the winner of the respective category. In case of a tie, judge’s panel
will review tying titles to determine the category Winner. The titles and authors of these Winners will be withheld until
selection of Years Best has been chosen.
Round 3 Selection of Years Best
The Winners from
each genre category will be reviewed by the Literary Nymphs judges’ panel. The e-book receiving the highest score from
the judges’ vote will be Winner of Years Best. In case of a tie, the judges votes will be cast a second time. If, after
this vote, the decision remains a tie, the finishing e-books will be presented to the Literary Nymphs members of good standing
for another ballot vote. In the case this vote also results in a tie, the finishing e-books will share the title of Years
Best Erotic Read.
If any of
the Round 2 Winners have had a review by the staff of Literary Nymphs, the author of the e-book agrees to allow the review
to be used as an aid in determining this round.
Special
Award- The Rare Lily Award- to be determined by combined private votes from Literary Nymphs review staff and judges
panel. This Award nominee can be anyone - writer, publisher, promoter, advocate,
seller, ect.- who has demonstrated to be a laudable defender of erotica in literature, and must possess characteristics of
integrity and professionalism.
Winners- will be announced approximately March 5, 2005
